Safeguarding

We want St Luke's to be a safe place for children and adults including those who are vulnerable.

St Luke’s Church is committed to making sure that everyone can worship and grow in Christ safely. We have two safeguarding officers who work with the staff and PCC to ensure we are a safe place for children and adults including those who are vulnerable.  All of our group leaders are DBS checked and have received safeguarding training.

St Luke’s PCC has adopted “A Safe Church” as our safeguarding policy, recommended as best practice by Southwark Diocese. Click here to find out more.

If anyone has a non-urgent safeguarding concern they should contact St Luke’s safeguarding officer Helen Wiffen by emailing . Alternatively, if you have an urgent concern please contact the diocesan  Safeguarding team on 0207 939 9441 (office hours) or 020 3874 6743 (out of hours). Other organisations offering support include  Thirtyone:eight and Safe Spaces.
